1. IS THIS THE SAME AS EPOXY?
No, our coatings are not the same as traditional epoxy. At Armor Coatings, we use a polyurea basecoat with a polyaspartic topcoat, which is significantly more durable and flexible than epoxy. Unlike epoxy, our system resists cracking, yellowing, and peeling—and it cures much faster, making it ideal for both residential and commercial applications.
2. HOW LONG DOES THE INSTALLATION TAKE?
Most installations are completed in just one day. Thanks to our efficient process and fast-curing materials, we’re in and out quickly—minimizing disruption and getting you back to enjoying your space right away.
3. WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE QUOTE?
Every quote includes a free on-site estimate, color and flake design consultation, thorough surface prep and concrete repair, application of a polyurea basecoat, decorative flake broadcast, and a clear polyaspartic topcoat. You’ll also receive a lifetime product warranty and a 20-year workmanship guarantee.
4. DO I NEED TO MOVE EVERYTHING OUT OF MY GARAGE OR PATIO?
Yes, we ask that you clear the space before installation day. This ensures our team can prep and coat the area safely and efficiently. If needed, we’re happy to provide tips or recommendations for temporary storage solutions.
5. WILL IT HOLD UP TO HOT TIRES, OIL STAINS, OR SPILLS?
Absolutely. Our coatings are designed to withstand the toughest conditions—including hot tire pick-up, oil, chemical spills, and everyday wear. The polyaspartic topcoat forms a durable, stain-resistant seal that’s easy to clean and built to last.
6. IS IT SLIPPERY WHEN WET?
Our standard system includes a decorative flake layer that adds texture and slip resistance. For added safety, we can incorporate traction additives for areas like pool decks or entryways where wet surfaces are more common.
